SUPPORT MY CHALLENGE TO RAISE FUNDS FOR GUIDE DOGS

I've gone barking mad, and I'm taking part in the PAWGUST challenge to raise funds for Guide Dogs.

Rain, hail or shine, this August, I will be pounding the pavement!

Did you know it costs in excess of $50,000 to breed, raise and train just ONE Guide Dog?! With thousands of dogs being trained each year, every dollar counts. I need your help so that together, we can create a world where everyone who needs a Guide Dog has a Guide Dog.

PUPdate 11/8

This weekend I went on many walks again, with my girl Nala. For those who don't know, she snapped her leg about 6 years ago now, and so has a fused ankle, a plate and multiple screws in her front right leg. This means she cannot bend her paw - she must lift and roll her entire shoulder to take each step. However, at the ripe age of 9ish, she sometimes just drags the top of her foot along the ground. All I do is buy these little 'dog hiking shoes' that stops her from bleeding when we walk. She wears out one every 2 weeks, but I have a feeling we may be going through many more this PAWgust. 
Boinic leg or not, she's having just as much fun as me this month :)

PUPdate 4/8

This weekend I was dog sitting in Victor Harbor. I took advantage of the location and went for a walk in Deep Creek as well as the Bluff to Kings Head walk. In additional to the daily walks with the two doggos. Sadie is a super energetic pup, so I did some training with her to walk nicer on lead (which takes time, effort and patience). Then we have Steele, who has had both ACLs and multiple tumours removed recently (dog owners know that dogs can be expensive!), so could you imagine how much time, effort, patience and money a guide dog actually takes to be able to be with someone living with blindness or low vision? 
Walking seems like such a small thing I can do. Please donate, and let’s help one dog get to one extra person who needs them.
