Day 20 + First Goal Reached
It has been a busy month, and quite easy to forget to post an update. Despite any illnesses or bad weather we have been keeping up with the challenge everey day. We crossed our goal of $200 and extended it to $300 so hoping we can get over the line! Thank you so kindly to our donors it means so much!
Feels great to have done this for over a week now! The weather in Melbourne has been dreadful, but thankfully it has been a bit sunny today so I was able to get some photos of Freddie.
He wasn't too fast today and took the walk slow, we managed to at least get over 4000 steps today.
Thanks for the donations, we aren't far from our goal now!
Pawgust Day 2
We have finished our walk for day 2, we went a little longer today with 40 minutes. Definitely a challenge in the colder weather!
Also thank you to everyone who has donated so far! Much love xo
Pawgust Day 1
Day 1 is done and dusted! Walked for 36 minutes, 2kms and 4755 steps done!
Testing The Pawdometer
Today Freddie and I thought we would test out the Pawdometer, we went for a lovely walk around our area and thought it was a good practise for when August 1st hits.
Paws Stepped: 4638
Minutes Of Walking: 33 minutes 10 seconds
It was a slow walk due to Freddie stopping to smell everything, looking forward to seeing how much our distance increases over the next few days!
-Marcey and Freddie
Today we went for a 30 minute walk to practise for Pawgust! Freddie is very excited for the challenge!
I am raising funds for Guide Dogs
My best mate and I are taking part in PAWGUST 2019 on behalf of Guide Dogs Australia because I'm passionate about helping Guide Dog puppies in training and supporting people in our community living with disability.
During the month of August, my dog and I will be walking 30 minutes a day for 30 days (that's roughly 2km every day which is no small feat in the winter weather!) to raise vital funds for Guide Dogs and support their puppies currently in training.
And that's where you come in! By supporting my dog and I, you are helping to improve the quality of life for all Aussies living with disability, and to give the puppies the best start in their journey to becoming Guide Dogs.
Will you please show your support by donating to me today? Anything you can give will help.
With your support we can change people’s lives by helping current Guide Dog puppies in training. Plus, it will also inspire me and my pooch to complete my 30 minutes each day!
Thank you so much.
Thank you to my SupPAWters
Best of luck with the fund raising. Great work and fantastic cause. Enjoy the walks.
Very worthy cause, well done!
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!
For ten bucks he'd better poop somewhere fancy.
