SUPPORT MY CHALLENGE TO RAISE GUIDE DOGS

I've gone barking mad and I'm taking part in the PAWGUST challenge to raise funds for Guide Dogs Australia.

Rain, hail or shine, this August I will be walking every single day!

Did you know it costs in excess of $50,000 to breed, raise and train just ONE Guide Dog?! And with thousands of dogs being trained each year, every dollar counts. I need your help so that together, we can create a world where everyone who needs a Guide Dog, has a Guide Dog.

Please make a donation to support my challenge today. Every bit counts.

My Updates

walk 11

100m past this point George picked up a scent and wanted out of the bush. He led me to next gap in the fence and pulled all the home. He powered off for 700m back to our normal park not before he stopped to shake off the stress and ease up the pulling. George have never really pulled much only when he gets spooked and want space. So this was a short walk but that’s ok. He wanted to go straight home and led the way there so that’s what we did you have to listen to your dog.

Back at it today squeezing in a walk between the rain before the storm. We stopped to say hi to the duckies who are starting to couple up so soon we will stop walking this close to lake and give them some space for their baby’s.

cash in a second Pawgust buffer walk for Sunday so I could go play with Polly instead (I can’t do both ? and I need my anti inflammatory after a play date??)
-
We did some buffer walks so we could have some rest days as George has a bit of a bad back. In the lead up to Pawgust he hurt a disk in his back so we are mindful not to stain it and rest when needed.

Cashing in one of my Pawgust buffer walks we did in the lead up to Pawgust. George was a bit to soar after our bush walk on Friday to go for a walk on Saturday and the rain and cold air didn’t help ???. We had a rest day to recover and not strain his back/hips
