We Walkin'

I've gone barking mad, and I'm taking part in the LAST EVER PAWGUST challenge to raise vital funds for Guide Dogs.

This August, rain, hail or shine, I will be getting out every day to walk in support of people living with low vision and blindness.

Every step I take helps provide life-changing Guide Dogs and services to those who need them most. Did you know it costs more than $50,000 to breed, raise and train just ONE Guide Dog?! With demand for Guide Dogs services continuing to grow, your support has never been more important.

This is the LAST EVER PAWGUST, and I'm determined to make every step count.

Please make a donation to help me go the distance so that together, we can change lives one step at a time.

My Updates

Too Early...

Poor Daisy was not keen this morning. I'll be home late so we got up early to do our walk (which is surprising for me to actually do), and between the time, the fog, and the cold, Daisy did not wanna go. We perservered, albiet slowly, and got our thirty minutes in. Daisy tried getting into my housemates room so she could go snuggle when we got home but after five minutes or so, gave up and went back to my (read: her) bed. Next time we do an early wall I'll have to put a heatpack in my bed for her upon our return.

First Walks!

Started off the month with a weekend and perfect weather. Last year for pawgust and Daisy is chuffed to be out and about. Took a wander about the surburbs on Saturday, then had a good run around at the primary school today so we could shake off the beans she seems to have accumulated over the week. Consistency will be my challenge. Not rolling in things will be Daisy's. Hopefully the pawdometer shows up this week and we can start measuring in her little tippy taps over my strides.
