SUPPORT MY CHALLENGE TO RAISE FUNDS FOR GUIDE DOGS

I've gone barking mad, and I'm taking part in the PAWGUST challenge to raise funds for Guide Dogs.

Rain, hail or shine, this August, I will be pounding the pavement!

Did you know it costs in excess of $50,000 to breed, raise and train just ONE Guide Dog?! With thousands of dogs being trained each year, every dollar counts. I need your help so that together, we can create a world where everyone who needs a Guide Dog has a Guide Dog.

Please make a donation to support my challenge today. Every bit counts.

My Updates

Last day for Pawgust 2025

I never thought that I would manage to do more than 90,000 steps in 30 days.    Moose is a good motivator for me as I need to get him out every day for a walk.   Thanks to everyone who donated, it was very much appreciated.   Cheers

Day 19

Moose had the best time in the park tonight.  He was running and chasing (just wish he was wearing the pedometer!) in a pack made up of a miniature australian shepherd, 2 x Newfoundlands, 1 small cross breed (who runs like the wind) and a schnauzer cross poodle.  The surprising thing about this pack was that the dogs were all black.  Ah to be a dog!

Day 17 Targets

It's fantastic to see that my $$ target was reached so now it's up to me to try and reach my km target albeit I am behind due to the wet weather we are having....walks not as long.

Day 8

I hit my donation target today thanks to those that donated towards this much needed cause.

Day 5

We have been lucky with the weather so far and we are both enjoying our nightly walks around the neighbourhood.

Day 3 - A sunny Sunday

It was a glorious day on Sunday 3rd August with Moose and I out mid-morning for our walk.   Today we walked just under 3 kms but Moose did far more than me, chasing & playing with 4 dogs in my local leash free park.   It certainly was a lovely sunny winter's day.
