SUPPORT MY CHALLENGE TO RAISE FUNDS FOR GUIDE DOGS

I've gone barking mad, and I'm taking part in the PAWGUST challenge to raise funds for Guide Dogs.

Rain, hail or shine, this August, I will be pounding the pavement!

Did you know it costs in excess of $50,000 to breed, raise and train just ONE Guide Dog?! With thousands of dogs being trained each year, every dollar counts. I need your help so that together, we can create a world where everyone who needs a Guide Dog has a Guide Dog.

Day 31 - Sunday 31st August

Our PAWGUST challenge is done! We celebrated walking over 100km in the month and raising over $1,200 for Guide Dogs by treating ourselves lunch at the pub :)

Day 30 - Saturday 30th August

It was windy on our walk today and the wind and Luna do not mix well

Day 29 - Friday 29th August

Last Friday of winter and last Friday of our PAWGUST challenge :)

Day 28 - Thursday 28th August

Day 28 and only 3 more days of making the dogs pose for photos (then I can just go back to taking photos of Luna when she’s asleep haha)

Day 27 - Wednesday 27th August

Well fake spring has been and gone and winter was back today! We were lucky to get a walk in between the showers this afternoon

Day 26 - Tuesday 26th August

Day 26 and our run of good luck with no rainy walks looks like it might be coming to an end, with the weather over the next few days looking cold and wet. I guess this means the dogs will get to wear their raincoats, which they’ll be stoked with

Day 25 - Monday 25th August

The dogs were not into having their photos taken this morning - this pic sums up nicely how much they’re over it haha

Day 24 - Sunday 24th August

We did a big 7km walk around the National Arboretum today!

Day 23 - Saturday 23rd August

It’s a stunning day in Canberra today - we walked the local park run route, which took us through the Molonglo River Reserve :)

Day 22 - Friday 22nd August

22 days in and it’s getting harder and harder to think of different photos to take of the dogs, so here they are posing in a tree :)

Day 21 - Thursday 21st August

Luna’s smile is not because she’s walking, it’s because she’s been promised left over BBQ chicken for dinner tonight

Day 20 - Wednesday 20th August

We are determined to get one good log posing photo - only 11 more days to attempt this haha

Day 19 - Tuesday 19th August

Tried to get a photo of the nice sunset but got a photo of these 2 silly dogs instead :)

Day 18 - Monday 18th August

Another day, another unsuccessful attempt at getting the dogs to pose for a photo on a log.

Day 17 - Sunday 17th August

We went for a long walk through the local wetlands and saw lots of kangaroos enjoying the sunshine (you can just see them in the background of this photo) Today is also Luna’s gotcha day - 6 years of side eye and sass haha

Day 16 - Saturday 16th August

We had all types of weather on our walk today - sun, wind, rain and then sun again! Luna and Chewie loved awkwardly posing on this play equipment for their daily photo too!

Day 15 - Friday 15th August

We’re halfway through our challenge!

Day 14 - Thursday 14th August

The only photo where I could get them both in shot AND looking at the camera was at the end of our walk today :)

Day 13 - Wednesday 13th August

Tried (unsuccessfully) to get the dogs to pose on this log. They’re truly sick of me and my photo taking.

We did a walk with our GrandPAWrents and their dogs today!

Day 11 - Monday 11th August

We decided to get a photo in one of Canberra’s iconic bus shelters on our walk today!

Day 10 - Sunday 10th August

Back from my Sydney trip and straight back into a walk! The weather this week is looking great to clock up lots of steps for our challenge:)

Day 9 - Saturday 9th August

Luna was slow on her walk today, dragging her heels in (it’s the weekend, time to relax, not walk haha!) I’m in Sydney so thanks to Nicole for taking the dogs out today :) I still managed to get a walk in though, wearing my Luna shirt so she was on my walk with me in spirit :)

Day 8 - Friday 8th August

One week done for our challenge and the dogs are already sick of me and my photo taking. No more puparazzi pics please haha

Day 7 - Thursday 7th August

We had to drag Luna out of bed for this mornings walk - it was minus 3 outside and very frosty! The dogs got to wear their coats, which they just love

Day 6 - Wednesday 6th August

We went for our walk after work today, so the dogs wore their light up collars for safety - they always draw comments from people we pass by in the neighborhood!

Day 5 - Tuesday 5th August

Just a walk around the neighborhood this morning and we saw 7 kangaroos!

Day 4 - Monday 4th August

We went for a walk on The Kingston Forehore after work today - it wasn’t too cold which was good!

Day 3 - Sunday 3rd August

It wouldn’t be a PAWGUST challenge without a walk around Lake Burley Griffin and today we went out onto the island where the National Carillon is and they were playing Queen songs! Speaking of Queens, guess who had to be carried across the bridges today?

Day 2 - Saturday 2nd August

Chewie had a hair appointment near the War Memorial today, so we decided to walk up and down Anzac Parade past all the different war monuments. Chewie wasn’t a fan of these horse statues, Luna wasn’t a fan of the wind.

Day 1 - Friday 1st August

Our 2025 PAWGUST challenge is underway! Chewie is pumped for the next month, Luna is already thinking about how she can find a new owner who won’t force her to do this
