Schlopping through the mud

Youngest daughter came with me today so we could take all three dogs again.  I had the tiny dog and Bec took these two ratbags.  Charlotte the cocker spaniel LOVES the mud!!  It's so wet and slippery in the woods we can walk in.  With the Victorian restrictions in place we are somewhat limited in choice.  Was nice to get out with some sunshine today, and the bonus was no one fell over in the mud today!!

Weird wandering walk included training today

My eldest daughter walked with us today to try to do some training with Monty the mad walker.  So it was a backwards/forwards weirdo walk as we worked on his loose lead walking some more.  Means you never really go in a straight line anywhere as you train him not to pull.  However we still got a good walk in and he is starting to work it out.  She did a great job with him.

Walked all three, ended up carrying one!

Off with all three dogs and one daughter.  Poor wee Elphaba gave up early into the walk and I had to carry her.  She's 12 and has two artifical ligaments on her back legs, so I guess a long walk is too much for her.  She seems to enjoy her stroll nonetheless!

Monty is on forced rest so...

Monty decided to munch on Nurofen yesterday, so he's not allowed to walk today.  Took Miss Charlotte instead today.  She had a delightful time.  She's a sprightly thing for her age.  We had a delightful meander through the woods.

Just beat the rain!

Had to cut our walk short as the rain was threatening.  Got back with about 1 minute to spare before the rain came thumping down.  Monty had the best time with snooting about in the 100 acre woods.  We are increasing our steps and distance a little each day despite the decrease in time today.  Monty is loving it.

We've started!

With lock-down increasing it's nice to have this to concentrate on.  Hope you can jump onboard and help me raise funds for Guide Dogs.

I am raising funds for Guide Dogs

My dog(s) and I are taking part in PAWGUST 2020 on behalf of Guide Dogs Australia because I'm passionate about helping Guide Dog puppies in training and supPAWting people in our community living with sight loss.

During the month of August, my dog(s) and I will be walking 30 minutes a day for 30 days. That's RUFFly 2km every day which is no small feat in the winter weather! We are doing it to raise vital funds for Guide Dogs puppies currently in training.

And that's where you come in! By supPAWting my dog(s) and I, you are helping to raise much needed funds for Guide Dog puppies in training. Did you know it costs in excess of $50,000 to breed, raise and train just one Guide Dog pup?!

PAWlease, will you show your supPAWt by donating to me today? Anything you can give will help.

With your supPAWt we can change people’s lives by helping current Guide Dog puppies in training. Plus, it will also inspire me and my pooch to complete our 30 minutes each day!

Paws out!
