I am raising funds for Guide Dogs
I'm taking part in PAWGUST 2019 on behalf of Guide Dogs Australia because I'm passionate about helping Guide Dog puppies in training and supporting people in our community living with disability.
I am doing this walk for my sister Gabriella who when she was just 18 years old was diagnosed with Ushers Syndrome, which is a debilitating disorder that effects both hearing and vision loss/impairment.
During the month of August, I will be walking 30 minutes a day for 30 days (that's roughly 2km every day which is no small feat in the winter weather!) to raise vital funds for Guide Dogs and support their puppies currently in trining.
Gabriella will eventually adopt a Guide Dog for her condition to aid her hearing and vision loss. I am hoping to raise enough money to support some of the guide dog puppie training facilities so when she is ready for her Guide Dog, one will be available!
Even though I don't have a dog, I will be taking on this walk, so if you need a dog walker for the month, please let me know :)
So, that's where you come in! By supporting this cause, you are helping to improve the quality of life for all Aussies living with disability, and to give the puppies the best start in their journey to becoming Guide Dogs.
Will you please show your support by donating to me today? Anything you can give will help.
With your support we can change people’s lives by helping current Guide Dog puppies in training. Plus, it will also inspire me to complete my 30 minutes each day!
Thank you so much.
