Bring your dog to uni!
Today, Cheddar got to spend the day with me at uni. Our class had a dog training demonstration and of course Cheddar was one of the stars. It got to the point he was actually so tired from training! It was honestly a great site to see.
As for walking, he definitely did more so playing. I was so proud to see him be gentle and playing nicely with a puppy whilst teaching the puppy limits. If you would like to see it, check out our highlights on our instagram @cheddartrvls.
Today was a tiring day but a fun one! It was so nice to see all the other dogs together too.
Cheddar does actually walk, I promise. As much as a working breed he is, he will sploot any chance he gets. I literally mean he will lie down for two seconds, only for him to get back up and running again.
Today was a chill walk. We went to the park close by with Cheddar's grandma and cousin. Absolutely enjoyed it and it was great to see he wasn't too afraid of anything new. A little iffy when someone was on the swings but was quick to stay clear!
We will most likely be visiting this park more often, so don't be too surprised if you see more playground and bark pictures.
Day 3 done and dusted
We didn't make a post for day 2 but it is on our instagram @cheddartrvls. Earlier we promised a friend that we would be doing #fluffybuttfriday and decided to record a small video of Cheddar walking into The Pets Hotel.
Yesterday and today, Cheddar stayed overnight and played with other dogs at The Pets Hotel. Instead of a walk, we decided to use an hours worth of time during which Cheddar was in doggy daycare. Honestly, Cheddar could have possibly clocked in over 20,000 steps easy if I left it the pawdometer on him.
This post was a little late, but we'll make sure we'll get todays post out by tonight too!
First day of Pawgust!
We were very lucky for a sunny day in winter. I've also learnt a few things after this first walk too.
1. Walk at an appropriate time (i.e. not when school is out - distractions!)
2. Take your time and enjoy all the smells
3. Be patient (first and foremost)
4. Take a nice picture
Truth be told, I'm not too happy with this picture. But at the end of the day, it's all for a good cause. Let's see how much better I get at taking quick photos of Cheddar!
I am raising funds for Guide Dogs
Cheddar and I are taking part in PAWGUST 2019 on behalf of Guide Dogs Australia because I'm passionate about helping Guide Dog puppies in training and supporting people in our community living with disability.
During the month of August, Cheddar and I will be walking 30 minutes a day for 30 days (that's roughly 2km every day which is no small feat in the winter weather!) to raise vital funds for Guide Dogs and support their puppies currently in training.
And that's where you come in! By supporting Cheddar and I, you are helping to improve the quality of life for all Aussies living with disability, and to give the puppies the best start in their journey to becoming Guide Dogs.
Will you please show your support by donating to me today? Anything you can give will help.
With your support we can change people’s lives by helping current Guide Dog puppies in training. Plus, it will also inspire me and Cheddar to complete my 30 minutes each day!
Thank you so much.
Thank you to my SupPAWters
Yay for you and Cheddar ^_^
Cheddar is changing the world one step at a time :)
